Hello. I am an undergraduate at the University of Oxford, reading a BA in Philosophy and Theology. The Sisyphean is my personal blog intended to share my creative and academic writing with others (or rather, “pseudo-academic”, for they are not truly proper, nor formidable, papers!). It is a place of practice, so don’t expect anything particularly good.

In philosophy, I like to explore areas in general phenomenology, metaphysics (spec. ontology, meta-ontology), and moral epistemology (spec. meta-ethics). I really enjoy Wittgenstein, Kant, Hegel, and French post-structuralism, but particularly Deleuze. In theology and philosophical theology, I love orthodox christology, Old Testament hermeneutics (spec. Genesis, Isaiah, 1 and 2 Samuel), and the study of Johannine theology and the Gospels.

I like to explore “queerer” aspects of both fields, pun intended, for Christian transsexualism and the ontology of sex are keen, marginally less-than-respectable interests of mine. I like some instances of analytic philosophy, like Lewisian metaphysics and some artefacts of logic, but I am, at heart, a continentalist.
